Hope someone can help !

I have posted something in one of the other forums but no replys...someone must be able to help..

Can anyone offer any advice about buying either a UK or Japanese market car. I am looking to spend about 18K but want a claen car that has not been tuned etc...

I know about the diferences between WRX and UK's (and fancy a WRX cus of the power etc) but has anyone had problems with it being import... you know engine, sealing etc...

HELP ! - as I want one now !

Hi IDS,

Takes a bit more effort if you have an import, servicing, warranty, but still can be sorted. The sealing on imports isn't quite up to the standard of the uk cars, but isn't too bad,and you can always get it redone.

If you want to just be able to call up the dealer,if you have minor problems, then a uk car is probably your best bet. With a WRX/STi,
You rely on the warranty co',importer good will, but most problems/queries on both uk/import,seem to be sorted on the SIDC/IWOC,
notice boards anyway.

Gray's seem to be far more acceptable now,and there are plenty of co's able to service/tune,etc'.+ obvious power in the first place.

Both are very good, try them and then decide.

Mark.

Ids

You could try David Hendry Cars in Malmsbury,
(01666 824369)I bought a new WRX from them but they did have some 2nd hand stuff. They are a pretty decent garage to deal with plus they are a TVR main dealer.

Failing that you could try Hughes in Poole or Lockyear Cars,I don't have phone no's but they often have adds in Autocar etc

Happy hunting
Rob
