Have a minor problem with my MY99 - anybody else had this?

The sequence of events is

(1) unlock the car
(2) open rear door - okay
(3) close it
(4) try to open again - either won't open at all (as if locked), or tries to open but immediately jams and has to be shoved shut.

This was happening all the time from new. Has been into dealers twice who stripped down/lubed/rebuilt the door mech. Now happens only occasionally but still a pain. Possibly only happens when outside door handle doesn't fully reseat itself prior to trying to open the door again.

Any ideas?
