well i hope it isnt a problem, sometimes odesnt boost as much as others, almost like ther is air leaking or the acuator is sticking, im a bit stumped, only mods are pipercross (yes its going soon) and other issue being it needs an oil change, thing is though,, other times it pulls like a freight train lol, any ideas? thanks guys

Sounds as if its a dodgey MAF sensor.
What model & year is it ?

 

thanks for reply! its a '93 WRX, it idles fine, runs fine, but say 1 in 10 times trash it, it will feel slightly slower than usual, gonna change the oil in a min, see what happens having said that, it hasnt done it at all today and ive driven about 150kms...strange........
