Question

I have Defi BF gauges & 3 pod dash mount consisting of:

Boost
Oil Temp
Exhaust temp.

I want to put a column mount gauge on but cant decide whether to go for:

Oil pressure
fuel pressure
water temp

I originally wanted the Oil pressure instead of Oil temp but was a bit scepticle of pressure guages in the cabin incase of leakage (a mate of mine ended up with oil all over the place once).

Any help please?

PS I've not had a remap YET. Just want to be sure i have all the right gauges before i do.

Why don't you get Fuel & Oil Pressure, the DEFI's look great on the A-Pillar and 2 wouldn't look out of place.

The defi gauges are not mechanical, they are electrical. I have oil pressure, and IIRC I just have a sender under the bonnet that goes to the rear of the Control unit, and then the Defi-Link system between the gauges.

Arent Fuel Pressure Gauges for under the bonnet ONLY, as they are mechanical, and you dont really want fuel lines inside your car, other than the ones that Subaru put in there

Nope!

Looks to me like the Defi ones work the same way off a sender under the bonnet, reporting back to the control unit. So no fuel running into the car!

Ahh nice one, cheers for that, I think it was the Autometer Mechanical ones that are for under the bonnet only

Cheers

Ian, i assume then this would be the same case scenario for the Oil Pressure then.

If thats the case the wife has just thought of what to buy me for Christmas

These look pretty simple to fit aswell. Sonic can do them for me

Dont mind giving you a hand fitting them

Dont really fancy cutting the fuel line to insert them union things tho !!

But then thats only if you buy a fuel pressure gauge
