Question

My STi8 is booked in for its 1000mile service this weekend ( ) and I was wondering how long it should be run again before giving it some full throttle and going over the 4000 mark after the service

I can't wait!!! The last week and a half have been rather painful restricting it to 4000revs

I was thinking that I would limit the revs to about 6000 for the next 500 miles or so, but any other opinions are welcome.

Got to agree with Jim, should anything go wrong you have warranty. Many years in motortrade has convinced me that running in production engines causes more hassle than driving normally from new. (this does NOT apply to hand built stressed engines)
