G'day all, I had a bailey dump valve fitted on Wednesday night ( thanx Shane) sounds great but I have a few questions:

1) What affect will it have on fuel consumption, if any?

2) I have noticed that the car "blips" alot more, is this normal?

Please advise.

Skoosh.

1: Not to any noticeable degree. The performance won't be affected to any noticeable extent.

2: What do you mean by "blips"? If you are referring to pops and crackles through the exhaust, one presumes the dumpvalve you have fitted is a vent to atmosphere?

If so, by venting the dumped air to atmosphere instead of back into the inlet system, there is less air going into the engine than the ECU thinks there is, and thus it will overfuel. The unburnt fuel will be ejected into the exhaust system where the heat in the turbo or catalyst will ignite it.
