Cool

For an MY93

I know, I'm getting a bit temperature paranoid at the moment, however just noticed that the temperature sensor that is in front of the radiator is not and has not been connected on my car since I have had it!!!
Asking the obvious I know but what does it do? Does it relay the temperature to the ECU and can I find out if it is working?
I have an Apexi power FC which has a setting for air temp, however I have connected it up and still get no reading from this.
If the ECU does use the information what is happening if it does not get it.

Cheers

Ivan

Lol no worries, should have edited

You will need a Charge temp sensor, the feed to the Apexi is generally used for Charge temp, rather than outside air temp.

Ahhhh!!!! Thats what I am rigging up at the moment!!!
Check out my other thread re inlet temperature reading.
????? However???? I can see this going pear shaped. Where do I need to cut into on the loom... or do I need to wire in a pin on the ECU and if so which one... and and and Oh sorry my brain hurts now! What voltage signal will it need to pick up as this will determine which sensor I order.

Sorry mate so many questions and on a Sunday as well.
