Insurance Strife

Help!
Being only just 25, living in London with street parking and having just had an argument with a hedge in Wales, my current insurers are quoting me over £2,300 !!
Does anyone know of any good insurers for the young with a lead foot and a slightly overcast past?
Any ideas appreciated! Sale of my lovely 98MY Turbo is not the outcome I am looking for, but it may be the only solution.
I await for inspiration from fellow drivers!

I agree with Dave (though moving to the land of sheep sh***ers is NOT an option!).
I rung round eveyone last year (including all those offering seemingly 'good' deals to modded/young/convicted/sports etc drivers) and found Kwik Fit (yes they do do insurance and you get 10% off everything in their stores as well - not that they do anything for the Scooby...) to be the best.
i took a voluntary £500 excess as any decent smash these days is going to knacker up the vehicle's safety crumple zones (and quite rightly too - don't fancy getting an engine in the guts) and will doubtless cost several grand to get right. Basic outcome is that if you don't bend it you get a cheaper premium.

Sambo,
I've been trying to find cheap insurance for the last couple of days, I called just about every one and found Greenlight to be the cheapest at £730 with £250 excess, although I'm tempted to go for Norwich Union direct at £820 with £150 excess. It's a special Gold package and covers you for every eventuality, even proper cover for your ICE.
I live in the SS postcode, this must make a big differance because I've seen far cheaper quotes from other members bearing in mind I'm 33, clean licence, full NC and CAT1 alarm/immob perhaps my downfall is it will be parked in the street.
Good Luck

I also have the Norwich Union with Gold cover. Same price too. Im 32 & live in northants. I also have unlimited track day useage for £1000 excess. All my mods are covered too - brakes, suspension, exhaust, filter, rear wing and in future the downpipe is accepted. Cant complain about the package, not the cheapest but with the track day cover makes it all worthwhile.
