Wheels offset

I want some gold MY98 wheels, only thing is, does the offset on my MY95 match the wheels or will the car sit slightly lower/higher?
I don't want the car looking peculiar after spending a few quid, I want it looking better!

The offset on the 15" wheels is 55mm and
on the 16 x7 wheel fitted to 98 MY it is 53mm
The ride is harder with the 16" wheels and tyres but the handling is sharper.
It is better still with Bridgestone SO2 tyres
The 16" wheels look better and the ride height looks the same
