I was just wondering if it was possible to fit the turbo bonnet on a 1.8 GL, and if so, how much would it be. If you are wondering why I want to know, its because of the Looks, and so I can ram more air into the induction kit

There is a 2.0 Sport which goes around Aberdeen with a Turbo bonnet (and badges!).

I believe the bonnet costs around 900 quid, plus vat fitting and painting. Might be cheaper to sell the GL, and upgrade to a turbo!

Having said that, it would be interesting to get a front mounted intercooler on a turbo, and put a G: bonnet and badges on it

TONY the bonnet off a turbo will fit your vehicle, to paint a bonnet to match your vehicle would cost around 100 pounds plus materials 35 pound aprox i will try and get you a price on a good second hand bonnet, i will get back to you in a few days good luck peter.

I think ARC in Japan does a front mounted intercooler kit for the Impreza. Are there really any benefits for that to be done in the British climate?

One of the bad things about front mounted intercoolers is that it's one of the first things to get squashed, even in a fairly minor accident - and they ain't too cheap.
