Read about this downpipe being fitted to cars......what is it and what does it do? Forgive me if this has been asked before - but I am a newbie.

It's the first stage of the exhaust that does down from the back of the turbo. As standard it contains a cat. Replacement ones generally don't and therefore provide less back pressure and thus more power. Might as well just change the whole system to a 3" mandrel bent.

I have had to move my seat 6 inches forward after the down-pipe was fitted.
This was after several near fainting episodes caused me to almost let go of the wheel.
Now I hold my breath and strain down as if I am constipated!
This raise intra-thoracic and abdominal pressure and stops the near black outs under high G.

Yes the down pipe makes a difference

In addition Pete Croney states that 3 inch systems ruin torque whilst improoving ultimate horse power.

"Torque makes you dizzy":-)
