My left indicator is driving me mad. If I indicate left, then turn the wheel left, it cancels. If I'm already turning the hweel slightly left, it doesn't do it. I keep getting rude gestures from people at roundabouts, where I indicate and then it stops causing people to think I coming staright on

Is there a way to adjust the mechanism? MY93 WRX, btw.

You may find nothing wrong with it, you are simply not putting enough "lock" on to engage the self cancel system, try it out on an empty car park, as when you count the number of revolutions of the wheel when turning right before you hear the cancel trigger engage, it will no doubts be the same when you try left turn.

Have heard this numerous times.

The problem is, it cancels too easily, it cancels as soon as I turn the wheel left, even slightly.

I'd have a quick look at the switch then, as will remove from the column easily, just incase something has dropped inside the mechanism, could be as simple as a little ball of fluff or something that has dropped through the opening in the cowls.
