my B4
Hi ericjoe,
Is that a late model with the terminator indicators up front, or an earlier car. Eitherway, congrats on the new toy
Just beware the B4s react VERY differently to mods than WRXs. Whacking mods on ***** nilly can see some lethal over spinning of the turbos, and lean out. Next thing is a bit of knock and stuff can break. There have been some lucky peeps who have modded without the minuses, but many who have sorry tales to tell.
IMHO, my first mod would be a Knocklink - the engine wants 100RON, so without it it can get wooly. A knocklink will at least tell you when things are bad, giving you the chance to pull out, hopefully before damage is done.
BOV: IMHO do NOT get a VTA, unpleasant things have been known to happen with them. There is not much room, so many BOVs don't fit without adapter kits, but AVO in Australia is working on one specifically for the B4. It is being tested as we speak. Someone in the US has one that looks pretty decent too, but don't know enough about it to really recomend it (and it is not designed for the B4 AFAIK, but prolly would work).
Join the legacyb4 group on yahoo, there are lots of owners there. And you'll no doubt hear all about the fab mods you can do that make what I've said above sound like scare mongering
Hope you enjoy the car.
Cheers
