Anyone got any tips on cleaning gold wheels? Uptill now I've used Autogleam's cleaner on allys, but I'm worried this may dameage the finish. Any thoughts?

I generally use Wonder Wheels to remove excessive brake dust which build up on the wheels from time to time.

Some advice I got from a wheel place once was to polish the wheels every now and again using regular car polish (not the abrasive T-Cut stuff), as the lacquer on the wheels is essentially the same as the painted surfaces of the car.

It does take some time to do this, but it means that washing the wheels the next time is very much easier, as the water (and dirt) beads off the wheels. It also gives them a better shine!

Not something you need to do very often though, probably once or twice a year at most.
