Hi all,

Having just returned from a two week break, I was surprised and dismayed to find my 4 month old sti8 with a flat battery. Strangley there was enough power to light everything, even the main beam but the starter motor wasn't turning over. Luckily I was in a hotel car park and they had a jump start battery, but this didn't work at first... only after we locked/alarmed the car and then tried agin did it start. Could it be there is a problem with the immobiliser?

Cheers

Andy

From previous posts on here, it seems Subaru UK have since admitted that there might have been a dodgy batch of batteries fitted to some STI 8's.

Get in touch with your dealer about it. They should replace it with a better one free of charge!
