Hi all

I have to drive in traffic the whole week and my car really doesn't even get above 3rd or 4th if im lucky. Is there any problems that i would have if i ran 0.5 bar during the week and then upped it on the weekends to say 0.9 or 1 bar ... which is what its running ... So basically is there any problems with running 2 different settings like this consistently ... ??

thanks

leeps

Can't see there being a problem at all. It's exactly what I intend to do with my new motor and exactly what an electronic boost controller has 2 settings for. As mentioned, it is the equivalent to using less throttle to build less boost whilst still having the controller set to a bar. Having a low and high setting makes the car a lot more driveable at both settings because of the the way boost will build. You can toe it on the low setting knowing that you are using (fractionally) less fuel and not working the engine as hard for day to day driving. Leave the high setting for play-time.

Enjoy......
