hi i have a burning oil smell coming out of thr turbo housing, when i have looked under the car i noticed the smell was coming out of the turbo down pipe heat shield obviously where the exhaust is making this hot im getting the smell.Anyone tell me where this oil could possibly be coming from......cheers Darren

 

Could be from your rocker cover gasket leaking very common on the scoob especially on the exhaust side..!

Yep cam cover gasket.

 

I seem to have the same. Couldn't find it during the daylight, as the engine bay is quite cramped and dark down there! Used a torch after a drive one evening and could see some dark discolouring on the exhaust below the turbo underneath the rear cylinder. Just got to get it fixed now.

 

I had a power steering leak from under the car which blew on to the bottom of my downpipe causing it to smell and burn off white smoke.
