Question

Anyone (secs guys?) know why my MAF g/sec and boost readings sometimes halt half way during spool up even though boost is still increasing (confirmed by mech HKS gauge too) and arms out of sockets?

Also...does the max boost warning reading depend on the fuel cut limit? 22.7 psi?

Don't know for sure, but if SECS works like I think it should...

...it'll be if there happens to be some bad readings taken by the SECS unit that it has decided are invalid - for instance if the ECU is pretending to be deaf or mute for a couple of seconds.

(I've seen this type of thing with my ECU monitoring tools on most cars from MY93 to MY98, so just doing 2+2.)

If it's as I described, then there's not a lot you can do except make sure it's plugged in properly.

Okay M8. It's all fitted okay...strange thing is some readings are still working (at least I think they are during fights with me motor to keep it on the road!).

The MAF reads under anyway...gets to a figure then halts all the time. Same for boost as it only goes to 22.7 psi and me car runs slightly more than that. Is it the OE sensors passed there max readings?
