Question

just bought a uk 5 door my96 in silver...yawn..(sooo invisible)
anyway...noticed some serious rust on the bracket/fastening on the upper original spoiler(drivers side)....it looks well shot..
rang hull subaru dealer-asking for bracket and yep..they want£300+ for new complete spoiler!

can anyone point me in the direction to get a new bracket assembly or good second hand supplier?

any comments welcome.

is the bracket too shot to whip the spoiler off and rub the bracket down and re-paint it? or do you know anyone who could weld a new bracket on to whats left of the original?

These brackets are prone to corrosion. Why not remove it and paint yourself or take it to a professional paint shop/enameller.

Cool

i had the same problem on my spoiler brackets , i took them off rubbed them down and recoated them with matt black enamel from halfords , i think they are originaly dip plastic coated and this cracks and flakes off .
hope this helps ,

Matt.

p.s only cost £3.99 for the paint and took about half an hour ( the paint dries v.quickly)
