Does my car keep cutting out when I corner really hard (full lock sliding), is there an inertia switch somewhere that I can disable or something, love the car to bits but this spoils it when it's just getting fun.

Cheers in advance for any help.

yeh, plenty of fuel, it does'nt gradualy die, it's as if someone had disconected the main HT lead, it's that instant and only under hard cornering, full chat lauunches are fine. Does the impreza have a cut off switch for the fuel in case of an accident do you know?

Cheers, Nik

Don't know for certain whether the Impreza has an inertia fuel cutoff, but if it did, you'd definitely know it, as these things need to be manually reset once they've tripped. Thus, whatever's causing your problem, it isn't one of these...

When it cuts, do you notice your revcounter needle quickly dropping to zero, or does it continue to report the correct engine rotation speed?

what do you call plenty of fuel because even 3/4 of a tank you can get fuel surge doing what you are explaining, and it does do exactly what you explain also, almost head against the steering wheel type cut out.

I used to get fuel surge with 3/4 of a tank in my scoob.
The car would get into a hard bend and power would drop off completely then stutter back again once the fuel had returned.
