Question

Having just bought a WRX/PPP (my first Scooby!) into which the lame-brain dealer had put some normal unleaded, is there a procedure for resetting the ECU? Or perhaps I should just leave it alone?

Thanks,

Tim

If you're talking about a UK spec, new age WRX, you can't reset the ECU without external hardware (e.g. a Select Monitor, DeltaDash or similar).

However, this is no problem as these ECU's very quickly adjust to varying grades of fuel, so just put SUL/Optimax in next time and everything will soon be peachy.

Thanks, I was assuming that I might have to disconnect the battery for a while. (It's a UK '02 car.)

But, if it re-adjusts quickly then I'll just leave it alone.

Thanks,

Tim
