Question

Just fitted a boost gauge to my car (my00) followed instructions from chiarks site(Cheers excellent site!!) took pipe from the blocked manifold outlet middle one.
Just started the car and it read -1.0 bar goes up to -0.5 bar when i rev it then drops back to -1.0 bar whilst still holding the revs.
What have i done wrong?
cheers Ed

The boost will read approx -1 bar when ticking over as the inlet manifold will be pulling a vacuum, you say it went up to -0.5 bar when you revved it. What revs did you get to? If you take it on a run what boost do you get above 3000rpm?

Are you saying you were just revving the engine with the car at a standstill? If so, you need to go for a drive...
