I'm looking at fitting a dump valve to my Type R, but not sure which one.
I'm not too keen on the sound they make, so don't want a loud one, I'm only interested in doing away with the gear change turbo lag.
I've heard Collins make a good dump valve, but can't find any info on them on the net. Are they all much of a muchness?
Any suggestions?

If you do a search for Mongoose exhausts on google you should find the Collins website - Had a Collins dv on my Punto GT is sounded alot better than the Bailey dv. The guys at Collins where really helpful when I went to pick up the dv they are based in Congleton. Demon Tweeks sell their stuff but I found it cheaper to get it straight from Collins.

What are you expecting a dump valve to do for you ?
Your car has a dump valve already fitted to it as standard which vents the air back into the system to help keep the turbo spining, helping reduce lag.
Yes you could fit a better quality dump valve but I dont think you will notice the difference but it sounds like your after a vent to atmospheric dump valve that will probably (Im my experience)give you slightly more lag.
The only advantage of fitting a vent to atmos dump valve is for the sound....and thats not what you want.
Save your cash and put it towards another 3 or 4 tanks full of Optimax.
