Just fitting an aircon kit to my 1998 Impreza turbo, a simple question - during the fitting of the evaporator in the cooling unit you fit a drain hose to the underside of the cooling unit, with the cooling unit back in the car where is the drain hose meant to route?? From the shape of the drain pipe it seems to want to tuck down behind the metal guard under where the passenger has his feet, but this means any drips run just beside the ECU?? Is this correct? Also does it just drip or can it be more of a flow??

cheers
Ian

it should route out of the car through a grommet somewhere in that vacinity so it drips on the floor outside. i think it's in line with the carpet edge or somewhere like that. and it can be a drip or a small flow it wont gush out but the hotter it is and the more you use it the more water will come off as condensation

Thanks Scoobyboy, I thought it must go outside, I think I know where the gromet blank is now.
