Unhappy

My MY97 is being sold at the moment and for this it's going back to standard. It was previously running with a dawes device and ran fine. I've taken the dawes off and put it back to standard and now it's running only 8psi!

With witnessing this, in panic I put the dawes back on and was going to adjust it back to about 12psi (near standard) and to my horror, it's still only boosting to 8psi!!

Please tell me this is something simple, i've checked all pipes/connections and they all seem fine

Suggestions would be most grateful

actuator pressure only?

check the pipes to the solenoid, top from turbo, middle to actuator, bottom to inlet pipe?? (if it's 3 port)

Sorry, i'm a bit thick when it comes to these things, could you explain a wee bit more?

I thought it could possibly be the ecu's safety limiter that has came on as it usually limits to 8psi? Surely with the dawes though this should be overriden?

I've put the dawes back on at the moment so i've got the dawes in-between the actuator and the turbo and the other pipe blocked off, is this ok?

have you got the solenoid still plumed in, or just a pipe direct between turbo and actuator with dawes in line?

I would start by making sure the std pipework is in order as above, forget the dawes for the while.

It's just a pipe direct from the turbo, into the dawes, then into the actuator. The pipe from the solenoid is blocked off.

Do you think it could be due to the ecu needing reset, or do you know how you do this as i still think the boost limiter is somehow limiting the boost to 8psi

I've checked all the standard pipework again, can't see anything wrong. It was working perfect before which is why i'm a bit confused because i've put it back exactly how it was
