Want to change the standard 95 WRX Dump Valve for better sounding one. The standard one i have got is like a rattley sounding one, would like to improve the sound, any suggestions please? I've got a HKS Induction Kit and a Kakimoto straight through fitted.

 

Depends if you want loud or LOUD!

HKS or Blitz are fairly loud but expensive.

Forge and the like are cheaper but not as good sounding (better than the OEM one)

MRT ones are good, reasonably priced (bit more than Forge) but sound better

Turbosmart Super or Megasonic are LOUD (granny scarers) and price wise, more than MRT but less than Blitz.

it gurgles at low boost, and if drive normally it wooshes a little, but when you gun it you wonder if its going to blow your bonnet off.

price i think is about 200 ish,

best price I found was Sumo Power i dont have the receipt to hand but give them a buzz and they'd be happy to help.

turbo xs H-RFL, sounds like wastegate flutter at low revs, under boost 0.5bar will throws grannies onto the pavement. Higher better wear ear muffs.

Causes alot of attention !!!!

 

is it true to say that the HKS SSQV could affect idle (ie: unstable idle when cold?)
got my MAF sensor sorted, but the idle is now playing up this morning.. (stalled it twice, when normally it would hav been fine pulling away at low revs)
