Unhappy

Code 22 Knock sensor has appeared on legacy, and keeps appearing after reset. Had a look through the search files and found a few tips. How much for a new sensor and which type. Could the sensor just be dirty and need cleaning? Replacing sensor looks quite easy.

Any help welcome

Don't think with this sensor cleaning would help.

Check the wiring though.

GradeA Subaru would do a secondhand one probably and GGR maybe a new one..

Check here/ for lots of links including Grade A and GGR

Right , tonight I have removed the sensor and checked the connection that goes to it,reffited it and the light has not come on since. Went to Beechdale this morning for a price for a new knock sensor, shock-horror £93+ VAT

Many thanks for your help JGM, the light has not come on since taking the knock sensor off last night , giving it a good clean and greasing the meeting surfaces and also giving the connection a good clean with the old WD40. I have e-mailed Grade-A about prices if we need one.

Regards

Lea
