Hmmm, Might not be the clutch!

Maybe one of the gear sets or a damaged Baulk ring in the Box...

Unhappy

Just been out at lunch and my 01wrx has exhibited strange behaviour on the way back to work. The car was fully warmed up and I noticed when changing from third to fourth there was a grinding noise as if I'd missed a gear (Which I hadn't!!) and then in traffic I was having difficulty getting the thing out of second gear and into first. (It did eventually go in)
When changing gear the gearchange feels 'different' and 'dry' even though the oil level is fine in the gearbox. The car has only done a little over 26000 miles but is from Belgium so the clutch ain't covered by warranty!!
Anybody got any ideas what could cause this? Does it sound like a clutch or is it a gearbox problem??

Thanks in advance

Nick

Edited to say it has a Prodrive quickshift fitted....
