The map in a Z4 ECU is very similar to the UK Pre96 Prodrive MAP (the PPP runs slightly more boost).

The fuel/ignition maps are the same, so it should be fine to run on 97 or 98RON

If you open it up, check if there is a chip in the bottom right. Either that or a blank space containing 28 holes filled with solder.

If it is the latter it's a standard Z4 running 12.7psi

This can be taken to 16psi with a remapped chip using a ScoobyECU adaptor via David Wallis, if he can still get the bare adaptor boards

OR

A genuine 27C1028 chip 28-pin DIL chip (off which I now have a limited stock off and are as rare as hens teeth).

Do a search for ScoobyECU to read more about what David and myself have been upto....

JUST WONDERING, IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN FIND OUT IF MY 95 WRX HAS HAD ANY MODS DONE TO THE ECU BY LOOKING INSIDE IT , THE DETAILS ON THE BOX ARE
Z4
A18-000 DOS 4219
CAN ANYONE ALSO TELL ME IF THIS IS STILL THE JAPANESE ECU SET FOR JAP FUEL ?
