Considering a knocklink but already have (not fitted) an Apexi S-Afc2. Was going to get the Apexi fitted and use it just as a monitoring device.

Advice please?

does the apexi use the standard knock sensor?

if so, it is probably worth getting a knocklink as it uses a seperate knock sensor which is supposed to be quicker.

i would *imagine* if the apexi is picking up knock from the ecu, then it is due to the ecu not being able to compensate for the knock fast enough. in which case, backing off is too late as the knock has already happened.

the knocklink's sensor however, should be able to pick up knock faster and give you a better chance to back off the throttle.#

that's how i understand it anyway. i'm sure someone will let u know if thats accurate or if im talking out my you know what...
