MY93? Does this car have a 'cat' in the up pipe? I am told the latest model does, is this correct?

I doubt that MY93 has got one. Yes I think the later models do have one though.

my 94 did have {DID}

 

I'm pretty sure that only the Bugeye WRX's had up-pipe cats (or did in my case ). The new shape doesn't have them and the UK STi's have never had them.

None of the classics had a cat in the up-pipe.

my93 only has cats in the downpipe and centre section, NOT the up pipe.

Standard up pipe is very restrictive though, H&S one for example lot better flowing but a bugger to fit, and not always a good fit either, can help with spool up if your planning on running higher boost though

The only cars with cats in the up pipe are the 2001-2002 WRX models.
