Can anyone tell me what I should see under the bonnet if anything?

I was expecting to see a blue pipe somewhere but can only see a red one!?!?

There is nothing visable under the bonnet

check the exhaust,should have a sports cat on the front then either a plain pipe or a plain pipe with the shroud put back on, a centre resonator and a Prodrive backbox.

on my uk300 ppp theres a blue pipe with prodrive written on it. surely the sti would be the same?

Nope, Blue hose only on WRX/UK300, STi already has improved hosing.

Looking at the downpipe from a pit/ramp would be the best bet imo.
