Standard 99 UK Wagon

Not had the car long but over the last two weeks I've noticed that on light throttle my car seems to either misfire slightly or hesitate (I can't decide which of the two it is)but its only very slightly but just enough to know its there. It doesn't seem to matter if the car is cold or fully warmed up. I had a service yesterday (& thought this might clear the problem) but it still seems to be doing exactly the same - anyone any ideas

Cheers

I have the same problem, disconnecting the Lambda seemed to sort it out short term.

Try This

Doh, try again, have edited and it should work now lol.

Ok, the Lambda sensor is located on your downpipe, you'll see the plug hanging off the right hand side of the d/p, I unplugged this and the car mysteriously is ok, but have since plugged it back in.

I think you might want to replace the lambda with one that works, then

Did anything ever come of this? Did it work? Did you need a new O2 sensor?

Questions, questions, questions

My MY00 turbo also surges when cold, I mentioned it yesterday before a service and the tech told me that there was a fault code showing for the O2 sensor and coolant sensor, he reckoned that these were the causes. I haven't had them changed as he wanted £280 and previous searches on this forum showed this to be quite a common fault which you just have to live with so I did'nt know whether the tech was just clutching at straws simply because a fault code was up.
Excuse my stupidity but is the O2 sensor another name for the lambda sensor or are they different things?
