I've fitted Eibachs to my STI 5 Type R.
And wouldn't go back to the bone jarring ride of the Lowered STI springs that were fitted to the car originaly.
No good if you've got bigger than 16" wheels IMHO.

Steve,
You'll be fine on Eibachs or STI springs with 17/18" wheels.
I've had Leda, STI springs and Eibachs (Currently Fitted) on my STI-5, the Eibachs are much more compliant than the STI springs which I found to be a little too harsh

Don't think I came over right.
I'm running Eibachs on 17" Oz Super T's. Goodyear F1 gsd3s
I meant the STI springs weren't as good.(With either wheels)
IMHO I wouldn't go for 18s as this tips the Handling/grip balance.

Steve,
Eibachs sit approx 20mm off the top of my head lower than std springs, balances the nose high scoob look out big time.
Well worth £150 odd that a set costs

Thanks Toby
Do you know if the STi ones are any lower than the std UK ones ?
Im still debating (as I already have the STi5 Springs)

I have a V5 and fitted the Eibachs springs in the std hight which end up 10mm lower or 345mm from wheel center to guard, they are a stiffer rate and more progresive, the ride is better and yet they have less body roll and squat. If you fit the 35mm lower you will have it sitting on the bump stops and while it might look good the ride will be a shocker ( no punt intended

Johnny.
I really don't think the STI springs I've got would be any good for your car.( They would appear to be custom STI lowered/Firmer, alternatives to standard.)
Good for track though!

za, your car sits high due to the lack of an engine. hee hee. when are you expecting to get it back. you must be going mad without the car. are you sticking with the standard ecu? i gt the gems system fitted to the car today. feels real nice on the road. seems to have more torque without the boost having to come in to much......go on, get 1 2.
see you about
