Question

Does the fuel pressure setting correspond to what your boost is set at??

I have read that most people set there FPR to 3.2 bar Atmos
Is this assuming you boost is set to X amount?

I am not sure whether to buy a Rising 1.7:1 or Standard 1:1 FSE FPR? Which is better, Why??

Any suggestions??????????????

Cheers

I have done a search and I cannot find anything about which is the better FPR on my car MY94 WRX RA

I have found that the rising reg increases fuel pressure the higher the rpm.

Is the rising rate only for certain applications?

Someone must know

Thanks

If you are on std injectors then a rising rate reg is your best move, especially if you want to up your boost at all.

The rising rate FPR does not raise fuel pressure by RPM.

Both FPR's raise fuel pressure according to air pressure (vacumn/boost).
For example...
You set the Atmospheric fuel pressure at 3.2bar, this is at no negative or positive pressure (0), when your car is boosting at 1bar of boost the fuel pressure goes up by 1bar on the std FPR..
eg. 4.2bar of fuel pressure at 1bar boost 2.2bar of fuel pressure at 1bar vacumn..
But with a rising rate reg the fuel pressure is upped by 1.7 times the air pressure..
eg. 4.9bar fuel pressure at 1bar boost with rising rate.

Think that makes sense.. feelin lazy

Think I have got you.

Will read it a few times more everytime I read it it makes more sense.

I am on standard injectors so a rising rate is the way.

Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the offer..

I am going to do the parallel rails as well while I am at it but I should be fine.

So is there a final bar pressure that the FPR should be set up so that whatever my boost is set at i.e 1.2 bar then the FPR should be setup at 3.0bar instead of 3.2bar.
Or just leave it at 3.2bar at atmos whatever my boost setting?

Thanks
Scott

Boost setting doesnt matter so much mate.
Reason being that if the car boosts at 1bar the reg will give 4.2bar (std reg) and if the car boosts at 1.2bar the reg will give 4.4bar FP.. the more boost pressure the more fuel pressure.

Set it at 3.2bar atmos
