Power gain from exhaust???

Downpipe wil make upto 15bhp and bring the turbo in around 500-800 rpm sooner, centre section up to 8 bhp and a back box will make upto 15 bhp.
The above system would be a straight through and flow the gases much better, Ian at Hayward and Scott would be able to help on 01268 727256.A reputable company making exhaust for many years.
An Sti backox is not going to free up too much performance as it stll has baffles and is quite restrictive in its performance.
H&S system is stainless steeland guaranteed for at least 25 years....
A panel filter will make some difference in flowing the air better at the moment green panel filters seem to be the in things expect to pay £36.95 plus vat and for the ITGpanel filters £36.00 plus vat

My MY98 wagon was standard before today (oil always changed every 3k, iridium plugs, but standard), so running 208 Bhp approx.
What difference will a decat s/steel centre section (2.5" bore) and Sti handmade backbox, make to power, approximately?

I get a vague feeling that it's not breathing like it should now new exhaust is on - I have a standard paper filter. Will a performance panel filter show greater improvements now?

oh yes, a full system (up/down pipe, centre and back box) will make such a difference. Xtreme fitted a full Hayward and Scott system, (you can choose your own design tail pipe, any design !) and ITG panel filter to my WRX last week and wow, what a difference, feels like a brand new car. DO IT !
