I'm thinking of doing the i/c tilt mod but I want to protect the i/c more before doing so. I notice Power Engineering do a mesh shield thingy but I thought I might roll my own.
I've got some 13mm galvanised mesh fence panel. I'm thinking two layers offset to give holes 12mm wide by say 6mm deep.
Has anyone got the Power Engineering one or made their own?
Cheers,
Vindaloo.

I had the PE i/c shield on for a while, but have taken it off now. The reason I did that was it was recommended by the guys at Power Station, when I got my car dyno-tested. Apparently the shields block a lot of airflow into the i/c. Bear in mind that the i/c often considered barely big enough as-is, constricting the airflow can only make things worse.
If I get a few bent fins from impact of pebbles etc, I'll strighten them out with pliers. That's what I did before fitting the shield and I'll do the same now.
{Note: I don't speak for Power Station, this shouldn't be interpreted as a comment by them against the PE product. This is a personal comment).
