Is the car standard or modified? If standard I think it should be 12.7psig.

The car has a Kakimoto racing Exhaust and an induction kit
fitted to it, otherwise i think its pretty standard,
i have only had the car a few weeks so i dont know exactly what
(if anything) has been done previously,,

Does it hold 15psig on the gauge up to 6000rpm? If so I would think it may have had the ecu fettled with. The easiest way to find out is to take the ecu out, remove the cover and see whether there is an additional board plugged in the usually spare 28pin chip socket. It may have a scoobyecu fitted which explains the higher than standard boost.

my 97 wrx hits 1.35bar and then holds 1.1 bar, with a decat center section and a tailpipe, i dont think the K&N pannel filter will acount for this boost jump

i am considering a dawse device for when i take the front cat out to stop the boost going through the roof :s

Sticky,
Classic WRX's only come with one cat (unless you talk about the new age uk ones which have 3) so a decat centre pipe just removes the resonator box thats in there
