Question

Just had the 90K service done on my MY96 UK Turbo and the car feels no different, just as slow as before. I hoped the car was in need of plugs and filters, but this has made no difference.
I don't really want to sell the car to get some thing faster so mods seem the route to go.
Currently have a H&S back box, what mods could I do to get good but safe power increases. I don't have much patients for playing around with settings so the mods would need to keep the car predictable.
Cheers.
Ian.

Changing the plugs etc will not make the car any faster unless they were totally buggered in the first place.

Mod you could do - Air filter, centre section and down pipe, dawes device or remap.

Not over the top but will increase power nicely.

Wink

Cheers Nezz,
I was thinking the plugs were fcuked and the car was lacking in performance, but I must be used to the power.
I'm thinking center and downpipe first. Will I see problems with over boost with these mods?.
Cheers.

Shouldn't do on a 96, no.
Should keep you happy for a while
And then you'll want more

I have a full decat on MY96 wagon and the biggest increase came from the downpipe Also consider a scoobyecu which is a remap for a small cost with high gains.
