For a couple of months now I have been hearing an annoying squeak from up front when I drive over bumps or holes. Always thought it was related to the solid drop links I had fitted.

After washing my car yesterday and scrubbing particularly hard on the front bumper I realised it is actually the bumper itself that makes the noise.

It happens when I push down on the bumper anywhere from the centre (just below the Subaru badge) to the drivers side end.

Has anybody experienced this before?

Where does the bumper attach to the car and how do I get to it?

Hoorah!! I did fit the droplinks properly it was the Japs that goofed.

I got this from the left fog rubbing (the back of it) - sounded like it was the bumper, though.
Fixed by removing the fog & wanging the metal that was behind it with the back end of a mallet It was pretty obvious what was rubbing as it was down to bare metal...

Cheers Nom

I've got a driving lamp conversion fitted and I don't think it is the problem. Will go double check to make sure.
