Got a problem with my exhaust, so I'm going to swap it for an STI back box (got one available). What sort of increase in power will this give the car? Don't need anything specific, just a rough indication.
Car is an otherwise totally standard MY 02 WRX.

Yeah old one is blowing and the s bend is oval shaped. Happened after a minor rear shunt which push the bb forward, the pipe effectively went an oval shape.
Fully intend to sort the whole system one day, this is just a stop gap measure.

No power increase what so ever, if your old pea shooter is faulty then fine fit it but you would be better getting a decent Scoobysport back box or the like for around £150 in the for sale section.
As for fitting it you will need to ramp the rear end up and 2, 14mm sockets/spanners to remove the box and hey presto.
A member on here rushed out and bought the STI box for his MY02 only to realise it was pants and then replaced it with a Prodrive PPP box.
Now he is much happier even if he's out of pocket for the STi item.
