New STI 8 with PPP. Can this be improved upon? Is there any scope for further upgrade (safely)? Any opinions would be gratefully appreciated.

the PPP has just reached some dealers so at the moment this is as good as it gets without totally feckin up your warranty. give it a few years then fill your boots. is the DBM warranty 1 or 3 years now?

I would be very careful about fitting a cone filter to any 01-03 cars. Almost all of the ones I have seen have a larger bore where the MAF sits and this means the air going through the MAF is slower, so the car runs leaner. People have lost their engines as a result.

If you want more out of it, go for a full decat and EcuTek remap. This typically produces 340bhp

Replace all the exhaust with a full system and no cats and have the Ecutek done for the full benefits as mentioned above.......

Its fine to keep the Prodrive backbox and centre de-cat, but the downpipe and rear centre wiil need changing.
