OK, After driving my WRX my father wants better braking for his 2.0ltr sport.
Anyone got any advice on pads or discs without getting to wild-expensive as he's not a heavy breaker. I was thinking DS2500 pads and maybe some BlackDiamond Groved discs.

I will ring Grade A Subaru Tomorrow and see about upgrading to 2-4pots, anyone know if this will cause any problems eg wheel size, ABS ect...

4 pots can be a pain with wheel size - they need at least 16" wheels and some "width" as well. (I found out to my cost that some 17" wheels won't fit either. due to "sideways" spoke clearance)

2 pots should fit without too many problems - just 2 bolts holding the calipers on. What brakes are standard with the Sport? Aren't they 2 pots anyway, or is that only the later models?

I do have a set of 2 pot calipers etc. I don't need...

A friend has a WRX with braded hoses and I think pagid grooved discs and pads on. It stops very nicely
I'm using mintex pads on standard 4 pot discs - they work well, but not quite as well as the Pagid setup on the WRX.
