I have a 94 WRX that I want to put a scoobyecu onto, however it doesn't have the socket for it and before I have a go I was going to get a spare ecu, does anyone know if an ecu with 6K on the top is ok?

If it came from a classic turbo you should be okay I think... never heard of a 6K, 7K is sti ra according to something I read.

As long as you are using it to fit the scoobyecu module into and it's from a classic turbo I think it will work fine.

It might for example be a wagon ecu, and iirc they offer less performance in standard guise than the standard jap spec ecu. But as I say if you are putting the scoobyecu module in, the Maps on the module will completely replace the 6K ecu Maps so it will run the same as if it's in your original ecu.

Hope that makes sense

Also the socket should be able to be fitted onto the ecu pc board.
