Droning when braking
#1
Since having my car I've had a drone noise when under hard braking when warm. Its been in for a new clutch under warranty, but they could not find where the problem is coming from.
Just to let you know I've fitted 2xprodrive disks and also was given some new carbon metallic pads.
When you brake hard when the car is cold there is no noise, but when the brakes are nice and warm the drone appears when slowing down from 60 mph. It gets quite bad, so bad that I have to let my foot off the pedal. The technician says its got Avo upgrade suspension alround (never heard of them), and the front suspension has no top/bottom rubber mounts. Can anyone clarify for me if they come like this, also any ideas cus I wanna get this fixed properly.
Apart from that she is flying as I've just installed a scoobysport full system incl down pipe.
Regards
Kev

Agree with Simon H. Had the EBC discs and pads which groaned (as well as failed to stop me) and now have the monster Godspeed discs which are better for braking but still have the droan. Got used o it to be honest.
