I am going to do an oil change on MY95 WRX RA at the weekend and would normally use Mobil 1 motorsport 15w50. However, when going to buy the parts from grahamgoode.com I found they use their own brand 5w40 fully synthetic oil when they service Subarus, and it is also noticably cheaper than mobil 1. Can anybody not recommend me going for the graham goode oil, or maybe recommend a better alternative to both?

Does anyone know of any online sites which sell oil filters and the like?

Thankyou,

King RA

Red face

I think that the 5w40 oil used by GGR is made by Comma.
You shouldnt have any problems with it but i prefer a slightly thicker oil personally

Cool

I would stick with a thicker oil. Motul 300V 15W50 works for me.

Yep, phoned GGR up and even though their service schedule says they use 5w40, the guy in the workshop told me they put mobil 1 motorsport into scoobies. Looks like it's gonna be just the oil filter and sump washer then. Cheers for the advice.

Have just switched from Mobil1 motorsport to millers xfs fully synth 5W40 as it was being sold near me for £19.50 for 5 litres. Have had noisy tappets for ages but the noise has disappeared since I switched. Was a bit worried about it being a bit thinner but the car seems to like it so I'll see how I go.
