Been doing this for the last hour, removed all this tar-like shït from the boot underneath the carpet / wooden panel, removed spare wheel and scraped the stuff underneath there, too. Put all of it in a plastic bag, weighed in at 3 kg.
Now the question: what's the easiest way of cleaning out the remainders of that?

You're right Pavlo! Thanks for the idea.
Although it may smell as though my tank is leaking afterwards...
Mind you, I had wet ski clothes in there and the boot smells totally rotten!
I'll give it a try...
Cheers

I was thinking of getting my friend the painter to spray a little paint in there afterwards to make it look cleaner, but then again, that would add weight...
I dont want to make the car look shïtty by removing the interiour, but I'll have the ABS taken out and change the battery. I am already on a diet btw (low carbs)

I use petrol to remove the worst, then follow up with something a bit cleaner as there is aways a residue with petrol. Carburettro cleaner often attacks the pain so I don't use it, but lately I have used citrus based sovlets, they don't attack the paint and leave it smelling of oranges.
