Boreing Out The Exhaust Pipe????

Anyone bored out the exhaust pipe that links both hheads underneath the heads. There are 2 holes coming out of each and they go into one. I have been speeking to a man (Who shall remain anonymous
) that has told me you can grind it bigger as the head exhaust outlet is bigger than the exhaust itself.
Anyone got any experience with this???? How much do I do?? How far deep etc. Can someone tell me in detail how to do it.
