Guys,
Just had a call from a Scooby owner who hasn't access to the net.
He had a cel the other day and according to him it read 22.
This of course relates to the knock sensor.
He got a replacement and fitted it and reset the ECU but the cel remains.
Is this possible, will it take time to learn/adjust?
Maybe he read the test wrong and it was perhaps 12 or 32 although from what he desribed it did sound like 22.

If he reset the ECU correctly then the code will dissappear.
Tell him to drive off boost until the issue is sorted cos maybe the knock sensor is still an issue.
I've been driving off boost since last monday as my Knock sensor is also stuffed. I'm hoping for a phonecall from my dealer tomorrow to say the part is in

Thanks Brun.
A new faulty knock sensor would be unlikely but an error during reset would be more likely. Then again maybe he's read the test wrong and there was nothing wrong with the knock sensor after all and it's something else?
Anybody else had the same problem?

Seems more likely to be an ECU or Loom problem.
Check out my home page or send me an email & I'll forward details on how to diagnose.
