hi i have a sti v2 only had it about 4 days but now when i put my foot down it goes like stink for a bit till about 3rd gear then all the power goes ? i have just put a k&n 57i on the car will this corse any think like that had about 1/3 of a tank of fule optimax do u think a ecu reset will help i no with some cars when u change the air filter its best to do this any clue any one.
hope its not some think like the knock link....

Could be "MAF" sensor failing, especially it is the most recent "item" you have disturbed if you think about it, when you changed the air filter system.

 

i have just had a look at the car i think i may no what it is now the botem pipe from the boost control solenoid i put a new one on when i put the k&n on and i have red the subaru part has a restrictor in the pipe so have put the old part back and re set the ecu just have to go for a play now...
